With the help of optiSlang, calibration of a numerical model of an Alfa Pendular train, including the car body, bogies and passenger-seat system, was conducted based on the natural frequencies and modal configurations estimated from dynamic tests.

Our customer Matériel Industriel SA MATISA is a pioneer in the industrialization of mechanical railway works, designing, engineering and producing, among others, tamping machines. The load on the landing gear of the tamping machines under standardized according to fracture and fatigue loads can be accurately calculated using the finite element method (FEM). Several load cases and load combinations must however be considered. The evaluation (so-called post- processing) of such simulations , can be very complex and time consuming. Task of this projekt was to process these large amounts of data with an automated process and lead to a standardized and easy to use proof-tool for our customer.
