The development of new functionalities of existing machine platforms, as well as the conception of innovative machine-tools can be accelerated by reducing the number of prototypes required prior to the final series release to the market. The mechanical behavior of a grinding machine depends to a great extent on the vibration behavior of single components, selected assemblies and the entire machine. The presence of critical eigenfrequencies and modes inside the rotational speed range of the spindle must be avoided to guarantee the precision of the treatment.

Automated mechanical strenght proof for railway vehicles

Our customer Matériel Industriel SA MATISA is a pioneer in the industrialization of mechanical railway works, designing, engineering and producing, among others, tamping machines. The load on the landing gear of the tamping machines under standardized according to fracture and fatigue loads can be accurately calculated using the finite element method (FEM). Several load cases and load combinations must however be considered. The evaluation (so-called post- processing) of such simulations , can be very complex and time consuming. Task of this projekt was to process these large amounts of data with an automated process and lead to a standardized and easy to use proof-tool for our customer.
